Screening of the film Dead Madonna

Come watch the film about the muse of Edvard Munch! The documentary "Dead Madonna" (2007, directed by Ingeranne Kron-Nidal) centers on the fate of writer Dagny Juel. Her image became part of the artistic world and mythology of the Norwegian painter. For many years, it was believed that the writer committed suicide along with her lover in the Tbilisi "Grand Hotel," near the Dry Bridge. However, the film offers an alternative version of Dagny Juel's death — spoiler — the woman might have been the victim of a contract killing. The screening is part of the group exhibition "Moonsick grins. Dedicated to Dagny Juel" at Freizeit x tmp_space, followed by a discussion with the exhibition curators.
